PMP has higher heat resistance – up to 175 degrees Celsius – and is transparent, increasing the sample’s visibility inside the sample bottle. The vial typically has a standard 9mm outer diameter, making it compatible with a wide range of autosampler systems commonly used in laboratories.

Polypropylene is chemically resistant and the material of choice for pH sensitive samples, sodium or heavy metal analyses.
The PP vials are ideal when working with pH sensitive samples, aqueous samples in pharmaceutical applications, or undertaking sodium analysis.
If you’re analyzing anything that might adsorb into borosilicate glass, or looking to avoid sodium adducts pulled out of glass, these vials seem to do the trick. Using them on triple quad mass spec quite successfully.

The dimensions for 12x32mm vials are standard between manufacturers but the length of the neck and width/shape of the vial shoulder may vary. 12x32mm microvials have the same outer dimensions but the inside of the vial may be tapered to reduce volume or contain a fused insert. 12x32mm high recovery vials will have an internal conical bottom.
