Our 2ml Screw Top Vials are made of COE type 33 and type 51 borosilicate glass, with low metal content, to protect your sample from destabilization or leaching. By choosing our caps and partitions, you provide your sample with the best containment solution available.

The 2ml Screw Top Vials are easy to use and do not require special tools. The unique thread design provides a constantly secure seal, preventing evaporation. Thread vials are available in neck finishes 8-425 (8 mm), 9-425 (9 mm), 10-425 (10 mm) and 13.425 (13 mm).

2ml Screw Top Vials and screw caps provide low evaporation, reuse, fewer hand injuries during handling than crimp seals and do not require special tools. All screw screw vials and screw caps are differentiated by their thread finish as defined by the Glass Packaging Institute, GPI.

Although most laboratories have switched to 9 mm screw thread vials for wider opening while still compatible with the automatic sampler, some laboratories use 8-425 vials to store solvents. Standard 8-425 opening vials have more threads per inch, so volatile solvents are less likely to evaporate over time.
